2020 EMMY-AWARD NOMINATION
A Hard Won Achievement
The 2020 Daytime Emmy nominations were announced on Thursday, May 21, live on CBS' The Talk and later on the industry page Gold Derby. Nominated for "Outstanding Editing for an Animated Program” was the children's show Pinky Malinky, on which Jon Kinyon was the Supervising Picture Editor for the first two seasons.
After dealing with some very uncool drama behind the scenes at Nickelodeon, countering efforts of a determined and relentless saboteur, and busting his butt with an incredibly heavy load of work, he seriously thought that nothing in the world would have made the pain and struggle worth it.
But then he got notice that he was nominated for an Emmy Award and that was enough to make all the bad memories fade away.
The best part was that Jon's nemesis was the one who had to call him and inform him of the great honor that had been bestowed on him. To be recognized by his peers in Hollywood for his skill and the quality of his work cancels out all of the jerkoff's shit talk.
