2020 Emmy Award nomination

The 2020 Daytime Emmy nominations were announced on Thursday, May 21, live on CBS' The Talk and later on the industry page Gold Derby. Nominated for "Outstanding Editing for an Animated Program” was the children's show Pinky Malinky, on which I was the Supervising Editor (responsible for final edit) for the first two seasons–working with a crew of animatic editors beneath me. 

After dealing with some very uncool drama behind the scenes at Nickelodeon (Post Production); countering efforts of a determined and relentless saboteur, and busting my ass daily with an unnecessarily-heavy work load and an inexperienced production team, I seriously thought that nothing in the world would have made the pain and struggle worth it. 

But then I got notice that I was nominated for an Emmy Award and that was enough to make all of the bad memories fade away... well, at least the seething rage is gone (it's not easy to forget what I was forced to deal with and the HR nightmare I was put through). 

The best part of this entire affair was that my nemesis was the one who had to call and inform me of this great honor that had been bestowed upon me. To be recognized by my peers in Hollywood for my skill and the quality of my work cancels out all of his lies and shit talk.
